About the position

The Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) at Nightwing plays a critical role in enhancing cybersecurity measures within the organization. This position involves capturing, engineering, and refining information security requirements, ensuring their integration into the enterprise. The Sr. ISSE will work with various security tools and collaborate with development teams and senior management to deploy effective cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of tools and identify deviations from acceptable configurations or policies.
• Technical management, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise-wide cyber tools.
• Lead efforts to prevent adversary network threats and identify advanced attack vectors.
• Work closely with agile capability development teams as the principal technical advisor.
• Oversee engineering, design, development, and implementation of enterprise network cyber defense capabilities.
• Implement security measures to protect the client enterprise while staying informed about emerging threats.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Secret clearance; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Eight (8+) or more years of directly relevant cybersecurity experience
• Expert engineering and operating knowledge of at least 3 of the following: Firewall configuration, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Proxy, Identity and Access Management, Enterprise endpoint protection, Data loss protection, SIEM and Log Management.

Nice-to-haves

• Information Security and IT certifications (Cisco, Red Hat, AWS, etc.)
• Experience administering cybersecurity tools such as Firewalls, SIEM, and PCAP
• Experience with security log analysis
• Experience working on a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT)
• Previous experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
