About the position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data/AI Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing Data/AI architectures to support our business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of state-of-the-art Data and AI technologies. The Senior Data/AI Solution Architect will collaborate with various stakeholders including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to develop and execute robust solutions. The role involves not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. The Senior Data/AI Solution Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive Data/AI solution architectures. This includes defining and documenting architecture decisions, principles, guidelines, and best practices in the Data/AI domain. The architect will also be tasked with modernizing current solutions based on Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL databases, and integrating with various enterprise software such as Salesforce.com and Oracle ERP. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the Data/AI domain is essential for this role. In addition to architecture development, the position requires supporting the Enterprise Architect in governance processes to ensure compliance with established standards and policies, such as GDPR and PII. Regular architecture reviews will be conducted to assess the effectiveness and relevance of existing solutions. The architect will also need to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with architectural decisions, providing guidance on security and data privacy considerations in architecture design. Collaboration with Data/AI business and tech teams is crucial to understand their objectives and requirements, ensuring seamless integrated solutions. Furthermore, the architect will educate and mentor team members on Data/AI architectural principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Data/AI solution architectures.
  • Define and document architecture decisions, principles, guidelines, and best practices in the Data/AI domain.
  • Develop and maintain solutions based on Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview.
  • Modernize current solutions based on Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL databases.
  • Integrate with Salesforce.com, Oracle ERP (On-prem and Cloud), and other enterprise software.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the Data/AI domain.
  • Support the Enterprise Architect in architecture governance processes to ensure compliance with established standards and policies (e.g., GDPR, PII).
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews to assess the effectiveness and relevance of existing solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with architectural decisions.
  • Provide guidance on security and data privacy considerations in architecture design.
  • Collaborate with Data/AI business and tech teams to understand their objectives and requirements.
  • Work closely with IT teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integrated solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Educate and mentor team members on Data/AI architectural principles and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) as a Data/AI Solution Architect or in a similar role.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Data/AI Technologies.
  • Demonstrated longevity in previous roles, such as 5-10 years at a company in the same area.
  • Strong knowledge of Data/AI Technology trends.
  • Experience with architecture modeling tools and methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., in Azure Data/AI) are a plus.
