About the position

The Sr Data Analyst I position is focused on developing and analyzing metrics related to Reservations and Customer Care, with a strong emphasis on enhancing operational performance through data analysis and reporting. The role involves producing various operational reports, implementing solutions to automate reporting processes, and conducting ad-hoc data analysis to support leadership decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze Reservations and Customer Care metrics, focusing on Customer Care.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for Reservation Sales and Customer Care, explaining variances to plan, forecast, and prior year.
  • Make recommendations to senior leaders to enhance operational performance.
  • Implement solutions to streamline and automate reporting processes, including building and manipulating datasets and SQL programming using SAS.
  • Utilize data visualization and business intelligence tools to create reports for various business partners.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis in support of field and senior leadership.
  • Develop and monitor goals for Reservations and Customer Care by individual lines of business, queues, and individual specialists.
  • Make recommendations for changes to ensure efficiency, cost savings, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management, finance, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related technical and/or data analysis experience.
  • Strong technical skills with emphasis on Excel, SQL, and report development tools (SAS, Tableau, Hyperion, etc.).
  • SAS programming or similar programming skills strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication (both oral and written), time management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information under moderate supervision and strict deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion reporting tools.
