About the position

The Senior Data Analyst at Gesa Credit Union plays a crucial role in supporting the business intelligence and data governance needs of the organization. This position involves maintaining and validating the Credit Union's data governance system, developing business intelligence tools, and creating reports to assist stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions. As part of the Risk and Performance Team, the Senior Data Analyst contributes to strategic planning and monitoring processes, ensuring that the Credit Union meets its business and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a team lead within the Risk and Performance Department and represent it in projects and committees as assigned.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and support of accurate analytical models, Business Intelligence/reporting systems, and data warehouse solutions.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify new reporting, dashboarding, and analytical opportunities to support the Credit Union's goals.
  • Support the ongoing validation and maintenance of the Credit Union's data sources in line with the data governance framework.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the Credit Union's Data Warehouse and other databases to meet business intelligence goals.
  • Assist with various data validation, balancing, and business intelligence projects.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence systems that support the needs of diverse stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance indicators and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with data-related policies and standards.
  • Lead evaluations of the Credit Union's quality control systems and report findings with recommendations for improvements.
  • Train new team members on the tools and methods utilized by the Business Intelligence team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
