The Sr. Data Analyst will provide senior-level support and analysis for KCNSC enterprise data projects, defining processes and adhering to them. This role is crucial for performing data analysis, data mapping, data integration, and data quality activities as determined by the KCNSC Data Office management. The analyst will utilize their analytical and technical skills to translate and analyze business needs into requirements, leading the design and implementation of multiple complex analytics solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data mining, as well as governance solutions such as cataloging, data quality, and access management. In collaboration with project work streams and business stakeholders, the Sr. Data Analyst will design, implement, and maintain best practice analytics and data governance information products and processes to support the business. The role involves performing data analysis by querying data sets in various formats, including databases, spreadsheets, semi-structured data, and flat files, to identify and document master data, reference data, transaction data, business rules, data integration rules, and data mapping transformations. Additionally, the analyst will document internal processes and audit procedures to ensure data integrity of solutions and will research and resolve unexpected results or internal process flaws, effectively prioritizing and deploying solutions that can replace manual processes. The Sr. Data Analyst will also design and support data models optimized for analytical tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau, and PowerBI, creating BI reports as needed. They will support the development of master data, data cataloging, and data quality processes in data management tools, gathering data from multiple sources to perform moderate to complex analysis, generating reports that support organizational metrics and client services. The role requires the analyst to support a variety of information management projects, develop and follow standard operating procedures for regularly occurring processes, and mentor and cross-train other team members when needed. Operating at the Sr. Analyst level, the duties and responsibilities should be carried out with autonomy, requiring minimal direct supervision of day-to-day tasks and only high-level direction from departmental leadership. The analyst should have the ability to support and coach others while maintaining productivity on directly assigned work.
