About the position

The Sr. Data Analyst will play a crucial role in understanding and analyzing data that supports business processes and applications. This position involves extracting, retrieving, and analyzing data independently, as well as researching complex data sources to identify anomalies. The analyst will bridge the gap between business and technical users, ensuring effective communication of data-related concepts. Documentation of findings and data lineage is essential, and the role requires interaction with both business and IT teams. The position is hybrid, requiring three days in the Deerfield Beach office.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the relationship of data that supports business processes and applications.
• Extract, retrieve, and analyze data independently.
• Research new and complex data sources to understand data movement and storage.
• Identify anomalies in data and document findings.
• Bridge the gap between business and technical users by communicating data concepts effectively.
• Document mappings and lineage into knowledge storage repositories.
• Interact with business and IT to understand business processes and related data.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst.
• Strong technical requirements gathering and data research skills.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and data retrieval skills.
• Experience with SQL coding tools such as SSMS or DBvisualizer.
• Experience in Source to Target Mapping (STTM).
• Experience working with vendors and providing gap analysis knowledge of COBOL / DB2 / Informatica is a plus.
• Ability to use SAS is a plus.
