About the position

Aquent Studios is seeking a technically savvy Senior Data Analyst to support a leading client in the retail pharmacy space. The role involves analyzing and presenting data to provide insights to category management teams, ensuring accurate reporting from multiple data systems, and developing technology-enabled solutions using tools like Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate data insights through storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams and leadership to identify trends and process improvement opportunities through data.
• Develop and automate moderate to very complex standard and ad hoc reports, scorecards, and dashboards.
• Construct and deliver analytical findings in presentation format, including data visualization, recommendations, and effective presentation of results to audiences.
• Provide support for data integrity and requirements design for impacted systems and reports/dashboards built.
• Act as a technical knowledge resource to other Analysts and the business teams that are supported.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is a plus.
• Conceptual and practical understanding of relational databases and data architecture.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve difficult problems with minimal supervision.
• Ability to present results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience using Microsoft DAX for calculations within Power BI.
• Basic Tableau experience is preferred but not necessary for creating visualizations.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, project management, or related field in a retail/healthcare industry.
• 3+ years of experience in report development through SQL.
• 3+ years of experience using SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and writing reports and dashboards.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel and Access skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA/MS in a quantitative field is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, project management, or related field in a retail/healthcare industry.
• Experience in merchandising and/or category management.
• 5+ years of experience in report development through SQL and Power BI.
• 5+ years of experience using SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, and writing reports and dashboards.
