About the position

The Sr. Data Analytics Engineer role at Randstad US involves providing comprehensive support for project initiatives through scoping, planning, design, development, and maintenance of custom ETL infrastructure. The position requires collaboration with developers and business areas to create technical design documents, develop dashboards, and manage data processing tasks. The engineer will also be responsible for quality analysis, defect tracking, and ensuring adherence to software development lifecycle standards while maintaining awareness of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scoping, estimating, planning, design, development, and support services to projects.
  • Identify and develop technical detail design documents.
  • Collaborate with developers and business areas to design, configure, deploy, and maintain custom ETL infrastructure.
  • Design and develop dashboards and manage data processing tasks including data manipulation, mining, and ETL.
  • Document and present solution alternatives to clients that support business processes and objectives.
  • Work with Front End (Reporting) teams to understand their data display capabilities.
  • Follow proper software development lifecycle processes and standards.
  • Conduct quality analysis of products and manage defect tracking and classification.
  • Track project progress and intervene to eliminate barriers to ensure delivery.
  • Resolve or escalate problems and manage risks for development and production support.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specific projects or systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical and industry best practices and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics engineering.
  • Proficiency in SQL (5 years of experience required).
  • Experience with Python (5 years of experience required).
  • Experience with AWS (5 years of experience required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Power BI (5 years of experience preferred).
  • Experience with Tableau (5 years of experience preferred).
  • Experience with Alteryx (5 years of experience preferred).
  • Experience with Knime (5 years of experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with data science techniques such as EDA, NLP, and AI use cases.
