About the position

The Sr Data and Integration Engineer position is focused on analyzing problems and developing requirements for data management systems. The role emphasizes design principles such as reusability, scalability, and optimization, while also integrating systems with enterprise data governance tools. The engineer will contribute to 24/7 on-call support and is expected to be proficient in automated testing strategies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze problems and develop requirements for data management systems.
  • Work with Business and Stakeholders to create mapping documents and visualization.
  • Focus on design with an emphasis on reusability, scalability, optimization, and parameterization.
  • Develop, test, and maintain canonical layouts and drive standardization.
  • Integrate systems with enterprise data governance tools.
  • Perform data and service integration and design data as a service (DaaS).
  • Contribute to 24x7x365 days of on-call staff coverage.
  • Develop, test, and maintain code using appropriate software development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to create detailed system designs and test plans.
  • Perform project analysis and provide project plans with task estimates.
  • Participate in design walkthroughs to verify design accuracy.
  • Prepare installation instructions and coordinate installation procedures.
  • Support and troubleshoot application code problems.
  • Provide status reports detailing project progress and time spent on tasks.
  • Coordinate, guide, and mentor programming efforts by in-house programmers or consultants.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience including a minimum of 2+ years designing, building, and deploying software in Cloud.
  • 3+ years experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica or Snaplogic, Perl, Python.
  • 3+ years experience with data streaming platforms like Kafka.
  • 3+ years experience in AWS cloud.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving techniques.
  • Critical thinker.
