About the position

The Sr. Data Architect/Lead Developer will play a crucial role in the Claims Technology team, focusing on optimizing data warehousing processes and enhancing the performance of Oracle ETL operations. This position requires extensive experience in handling large datasets within the financial industry, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review the end-to-end ETL process and apply performance tuning skills to optimize Oracle ETL processes.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data requirements in data warehousing environments.
• Build high-performance ETL data frameworks with error handling and scalability.
• Analyze complex data and identify areas needing performance improvement using Oracle execution/query plans and AWR reports.
• Create documentation for all activities and collaborate with the project solution team in application design and code development.
• Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to enhance data accuracy and integrity.
• Engage with multiple business analysts and developers to influence teams across Claims technology and the business.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing environments, particularly in the financial industry.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior Oracle Developer with effective data design solutions.
• Advanced skills in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and DBA experience (10+ years).
• Experience in designing data models necessary for data warehousing.
• Strong working experience in database partitions, indexes, CDC, purging, and data virtualization.
• 3+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Unix scripting experience.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to Python, Hadoop, and Generative AI/ML.
• Experience in the Financial Services/Banking industry.
