About the position
The Sr Data Architect - MicroStrategy role involves leading the design, construction, and management of reporting solutions that handle both structured and unstructured data. The position focuses on optimizing data flow and storage, utilizing advanced technical tools and programming expertise to implement data cleansing and transformation tasks. The architect will also analyze business needs, engage in project planning, and stay updated with emerging technologies to make informed recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, construction, and management of reporting solutions for data gathering and management.
- Develop processes to optimize data flow, routing, and storage, considering business and technical requirements.
- Implement data cleansing, organization, transformation, and maintenance tasks using advanced technical tools.
- Analyze business and product needs regarding data operations and suggest system improvements.
- Engage in estimation and planning of scalable projects and budget allocations.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of related work experience.
- Expert in MicroStrategy report and dashboard development.
- Advanced development skills in SQL/TSQL, Python, Java, and VBA.
- SQL and scripting expertise for data extraction and transformation.
- Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB).
- Comfortable working in an agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with queuing technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, SQS, Kinesis Streams.
- Familiarity with data processing tools such as EMR, Spark, Glue.
- Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and Docker Swarm.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Codebuild, and GitLab.
- Proficient in cloud technologies including AWS services like Lambda and Kinesis.
