About the position

The Sr Data Architect (Snowflake) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms using the Snowflake cloud data platform, Informatica cloud, Azure, and Oracle. This role involves leading the development of scalable data architectures, optimizing data storage and retrieval, and ensuring robust data security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance data architectures on the Snowflake cloud data platform.
• Lead the implementation of Snowflake-based data solutions, including data modeling, schema design, and data integration pipelines.
• Optimize data storage, data retrieval, and query performance in Snowflake.
• Implement and maintain robust data security practices, including data encryption and role-based access controls.
• Develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flow, and data models of the data warehouse.
• Provide direction on the adoption of Cloud technologies and industry best practices in data warehouse architecture.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design and architecture perspective for projects.
• Design end-to-end data integration architectures using Informatica.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data analysts to define data mappings and transformation rules.
• Lead and participate in the development of ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, focusing on cloud-based data solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake cloud data platform and its components.
• In-depth knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, and Informatica Data Quality.
• Experience establishing data quality processes and implementing data integration processes.
• Expertise in Snowflake data modeling in star, snowflake, and data vault 2.0.
• Hands-on experience in data modeling, data integration, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages.
• Experience in Data Migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and data management best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
