About the position

Waltz Health is seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Architect to lead the development and implementation of a patient-centric healthcare data model. This role is pivotal in understanding the existing data layout and planning the execution of the new data model. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning, tracking, and resolving data-related incidents, ensuring that the data architecture aligns with the company's goals of improving the pharmaceutical supply chain through innovative technology solutions. In this position, you will oversee the data integration efforts for Engineering Enablement, which includes managing the data model and maintaining the Microsoft Azure database environments utilized by Waltz Health. Your expertise in cloud database architectures will be essential as you analyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data models. You will evaluate existing data systems, work closely with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows, and develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency across the system. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility, implementing data strategies, and developing physical data models. You will be tasked with updating and optimizing local and metadata models, evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency, and troubleshooting and optimizing data systems. Experience with PostgreSQL and Snowflake is crucial for this role, as you will be expected to leverage these technologies to enhance data management solutions. As a key member of the team, you will partner with business application engineering to expand and enhance database-related services, ensuring that data management solutions meet both technical and functional/non-functional requirements. Your ability to drive business and product performance through advanced cloud computing solutions will be vital, as will your thought leadership in the cloud industry, supporting fellow team members across various business and technology areas. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, positive, and hardworking, with a flexible approach to job roles and responsibilities, embodying a scrappy start-up mentality. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the patient-centric healthcare data model.
