About the position

The Sr. Data Capture Operator at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is responsible for the high-speed scanning of documents, ensuring accurate and timely processing through high-speed scanners. This role involves daily responsibilities related to scanning procedures, maintenance of equipment, and resolving technical issues. The operator must adhere to FIFO order for document processing and perform additional duties as required by management.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-speed scanning of all documents according to established procedures.
• Ensure documents are processed in 'first in, first out' (FIFO) order.
• Accurately and timely process documents through high-speed scanners to completion of the batch store process.
• Resolve routine technical problems and refer non-routine issues to management or technical support.
• Maintain daily upkeep of high-speed scanners.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of clerical business experience required.
• Experience in a Production and Quality environment preferred.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in other roles/duties.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new situations.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes as needed.
• One year experience in operating various data capture equipment required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to quickly and accurately perceive and classify detailed information.
