About the position

The Sr. Data Center Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise accounts for both commercial and federal clients within an IT Services organization. This position involves high-level configuration tasks, mentoring other engineers, and leading Professional Services projects, particularly focusing on Cisco Data Center technologies. The role requires extensive travel and offers the potential for conversion to a full-time position based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for Professional Services projects including full-scale ACI deployments from the Cisco Nexus to ACI platform
• Provide deep technical experience around Data Center technologies including ACI and BGP routing
• Perform project tasks as required
• Effectively manage time and be able to support multiple, complex projects simultaneously
• Design and implement a solution to understand inventory of order, cabling, configuration, and conversion of configuration to new platform
• Operate in a customer-facing role, and be able to provide clear, confident, and consultative guidance to senior customer staff.

Requirements

• Active Cisco CCNP - Datacenter or CCNP - Enterprise + ACI Certification
