About the position

The Senior Data Center GPU Engineering Program Manager at AMD is responsible for leading a multi-national engineering team to drive key engineering initiatives for next-generation AI system solutions. This role combines technical program management with strong leadership to navigate complex AI-driven projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own planning and driving the execution of system engineering functions for complex AI programs.
  • Engage with technical and business leadership to document program scope and establish integrated schedules.
  • Assess and manage program progress, risks, mitigation, and manage resource & budget plans.
  • Lead and report on program progress, risks, and issues to ensure timely delivery.
  • Represent the Instinct Systems Engineering organization in corporate planning and execution forums.
  • Support customer-facing engineering and business teams to set product maturity and schedule expectations.
  • Develop and share best-in-class processes to streamline and grow the organization.
  • Monitor and report on program progress, risks, and issues.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of technical program management.
  • Outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated hardware programs from concept to customer ship.
  • Strong leadership and technical acumen to navigate AI-driven projects.
  • Experience in product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning and computer vision.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, cross-functional programs on time and within budget.
  • Experience with hardware development from foundry to platform level architecture.
  • Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and lead technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and executive level presentation skills.
  • >8 years of program management experience, >5 years of people management experience, and >15 years overall relevant experience in the Semiconductor Industry.

  • Familiarity with budgeting, resource allocation, and long-range planning.
  • Experience with Agile software and project development methodologies.
  • Proactive with demonstrated creative, situational, and critical thinking problem solving.
