About the position

The Sr Data Center Technician role at CBRE involves applying advanced skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation. The technician will oversee various electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures in accordance with the company's Environment, Health and Safety Policy, ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed.
• Coordinate third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with CBRE's developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations.
• Help build and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required, with 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred.
• Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
• Strong background in either HVAC or Electrical, preferred.
• Experience in a financial setting working with billing and payables; prior experience using a financial system; and, the ability to use Microsoft Excel.
