Gartner is seeking a passionate and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Product Delivery Organization (PDO). This role is pivotal in building and maintaining data-driven components that are essential for meeting business needs. The PDO Data Engineering teams operate in a high-velocity agile environment, focusing on developing and maintaining components that support customer-facing channels, data science teams, and reporting and analysis functions. The components you will work on include Spark jobs, REST APIs, AI/ML model training and inference, MLOps/devops pipelines, data transformation and quality pipelines, data lakes, data catalogs, and data streams. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be expected to interact and coordinate effectively with other developers and teams to resolve operational issues. You should be self-motivated and a fast learner, capable of ramping up quickly with support from team members. Your responsibilities will include accurately estimating development tasks, delivering high-quality work on time, identifying and resolving systemic operational issues, mentoring team members, and exploring new technologies and frameworks. You will own the success of your tasks from development to production and will need to have significant experience working directly with business users to solve problems. Excellent communication and prioritization skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate across the IT organization, including infrastructure, testing, and back-office groups.
