About the position

The Sr. Data Engineer/Data Architect role is focused on designing, building, and deploying efficient and reliable data pipelines within the telecom domain. This position requires extensive experience in Azure services and data engineering practices, with a strong emphasis on automation and data quality. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to understand data needs and improve existing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy efficient & reliable data pipelines to move and transform data
• Optimize existing pipelines and maintain all source-related data pipelines
• Support on-call shift as needed to support the team
• Build and deploy extensive data quality checks to ensure high quality of data
• Build high-performance scalable data warehouses and data products
• Partner with leadership, engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs
• Improve existing data movement frameworks and add more features
• Focus on automation
• Utilize expert level SQL skills
• Engage in data modeling
• Implement CI/CD pipeline and DevOps practices
• Apply Agile fundamentals
• Utilize Jira and GitLab for project management

Requirements

• 13+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture
• Mandatory experience in the telecom domain
• Proficiency in Azure Services
• Experience with Azure DataBricks
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with Azure Data Factory
• Familiarity with GitLab
• Expertise in data modeling and data analysis
• Experience in test automation
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Snowflake
