About the position
The Sr. Data Engineer will play a crucial role in implementing a new Business Intelligence platform at a leading industrial safety and productivity solutions company. This position is focused on providing data-driven insights to various business units, leveraging expertise in Databricks, SQL, and Tableau. The role is based in Milwaukee and offers a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines in Databricks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs.
- Develop data models and Tableau dashboards for insights.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Databricks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years in IT, 3+ in data engineering or analytics.
- Expertise in Databricks, SQL, and Python.
- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of big data technologies and machine learning.
- Background in manufacturing is a plus.
