Responsibilities
- Expand and optimize data pipeline architecture.
- Support software developers, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives.
- Lead the creation of data architecture for data assets.
- Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
- Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand data needs and design appropriate data models.
- Participate in the design and development of the AWS-based data platform.
Requirements
- 10 years of full-time software engineering experience preferred, with at least 4 years in an AWS environment focused on application development.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive understanding of SQL queries and ability to fine-tune them based on RDBMS performance parameters.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, AWS Batch, AWS Lambda, Python, and Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with AWS Database services such as Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, and Aurora.
- Strong understanding of data management fundamentals, including data dictionaries, data models, validation, and reporting.
