About the position

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in SeaTac, WA. This position requires a strong background in data engineering and data management, with a focus on utilizing various data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Palantir Foundry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, along with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. The role involves working with complex data integration challenges, data ingestion, ETL processes, and data modeling, making it essential for candidates to possess extensive knowledge in these areas. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing performance. The candidate should have experience with various programming languages, including Python, PySpark, Java, and SQL, as well as familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with big data frameworks and metadata catalogs like DataHub, Informatica, or Collibra is also beneficial. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team. In addition to technical skills, leadership experience is crucial, as the Senior Data Engineer will be expected to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive team culture. Responsibilities
