About the position

The Senior Data Entry Clerk at the University of Miami/UHealth department of Neurology is responsible for inputting and maintaining a variety of data within the UHealth Medical Campus. This role involves guiding lower-level data entry clerks and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data entries. The position requires collaboration with senior staff to manage data from various sources and maintain documentation related to data management.

Responsibilities

• Assists the lower-level data entry staff with day-to-day requests.
• Enters a variety of data from source documents into applicable computer systems, using a data entry device, such as computer, scanner etc.
• Gathers, classifies, and corrects information to be entered into applicable systems.
• Verifies all data entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist senior staff members with the intake of data from disparate sources (e.g., REDCap, machines, external vendors) into a central repository (Azure Database).
• Assist with data completeness, correctness, and consistency.
• Assist with data queries, sorting and filing data entry records and other relevant materials.
• Assist senior staff members in maintaining up-to-date data and database documentation (e.g., data dictionaries or metadata).
• Perform other data-related tasks as requested by the principal investigator.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Skill in data entry with minimal errors
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
