About the position

The Senior Data Governance Analyst at Honeywell Aerospace is responsible for enhancing governance maturity across the organization by collaborating with business teams. This role involves developing policies and standards, facilitating assessment activities, and ensuring effective data management and quality improvement through collaboration with data governance analysts, stewards, and ambassadors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data governance strategy and policy development within the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with data stewards and ambassadors in assigned business units.
  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of the data landscape in the assigned areas of the enterprise.
  • Identify, understand and document data usage characteristics to drive alignment of data standards.
  • Lead development of and changes to data governance policies and strategies.
  • Chairing and facilitating working sessions with business leaders, stakeholders, and data consumers.
  • Tracking, managing, and reporting on data governance initiatives and progress towards team goals and objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of a new, integrated data model.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of equivalent direct experience.
  • Direct work experience in data governance, data management, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) or similar areas.
  • US citizenship in order to obtain US Dept. of Energy 'Q' level security clearance.

  • Ability to implement change by mentoring and motivating others, driving consensus, and executing through others.
  • Experience working in sensitive/classified data environments.
  • Experience working with a US government contractor.
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, program management, and/or financial data operations.
  • Strong organizational skills: managing several complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
