About the position

The Senior Data Manager at Leidos Defense Systems Sector is responsible for overseeing product design changes and ensuring the integrity of system data. This role involves managing configuration identification, reviewing design release documents, and developing solutions to complex technical issues. The Senior Data Manager will work closely with various teams to support products throughout their lifecycle and will be expected to work on-site for a minimum of four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure data correctness and integrity for system, model, and drawing data.
• Review design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
• Develop solutions to complex technical issues impacting multiple areas or disciplines.
• Create and review contents of CAD models and their constituent parts in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Execute Configuration and Data Management processes and controls according to company policies and industry standards.
• Write and maintain documents such as corporate policies, Data Management plans, and audit forms.
• Oversee DM team members regarding solution design and processes.
• Collaborate with CM/DM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and external contacts to support products throughout their lifecycle.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in a relevant field and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 15 years of applicable experience.
• Detailed knowledge of configuration change management principles and record types.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, etc.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software, and other CM practices as per industry standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Adobe PDF editing software, and Microsoft Point collaboration software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• NDIA CDM, CMII or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification.
• CAD or PDM certifications.
