About the position

The Sr Data Modeler / Data Architect will serve as the senior technical resource responsible for data architecture design and development within the organization. This role focuses on providing technology solutions for enterprise Business Intelligence initiatives, ensuring that the data architectural vision aligns with business objectives and strategies. The position involves detailed data analysis, data model design, and supporting the build-out of the Data Warehouse and operational data stores.

Responsibilities

  • Be the senior technical resource in data architecture design and development.
  • Provide technology solutions for enterprise Business Intelligence initiatives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business objectives and strategies to ensure data architectural vision is aligned with those objectives and strategies.
  • Perform detailed data analysis, data model design, and data cross-walk activities.
  • Adapt to a wide range of analysis activities and produce high-quality written deliverables.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage logical and physical data models to ensure integration of enterprise data and applications.
  • Support the build-out of the Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and operational data store.
  • Define and maintain data architectures, metadata standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers and technical resources in the creation and implementation of data standards and architecture.
  • Perform data requirements analysis and data modeling to support Data Management, Data Integration, and Business Intelligence initiatives.
  • Develop Enterprise Data Architectures and manage metadata quality and integrity across platform and enterprise systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in information systems, computer science, or related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience performing business intelligence or data management development.
  • Experience working independently as a lead Data Architect in a Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand and document business data requirements in complete, accurate, extensible, and flexible logical data models.
  • Strong Erwin experience.
  • Knowledge of data integration points and the order in which these must be executed.
  • Experience with the development of enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
