As a Senior Data Modeling Architect at Honeywell, you will lead highly complex and enterprise-critical projects that architect an efficient way to manage data across a diverse but unified data tier. Your role will involve designing, translating business requirements, developing, documenting, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administrating our data environment using our ETL, Data Virtualization, Business Intelligence Reporting, and Big Data tool sets. You will be instrumental in helping to design, build, and manage data pipelines that encompass data transformation mapping, data flow diagrams, logical and physical data models, and metadata collection. You will work collaboratively with both IT and business teams to develop, manage, and integrate business intelligence reporting, analytics, and data science outputs into business processes and workflows. Your responsibilities will include developing data strategies and translating them into data integration frameworks and reporting to enable business analytics. You will provide a standard common business vocabulary, express strategic data requirements, outline high-level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and align with enterprise strategy and related business architectures. In this role, you will lead planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in data and infrastructure. You will work closely with the Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to ensure all systems align with the long-term IT strategy. Proactively analyzing existing data structures or reporting to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements will be a key part of your responsibilities. You may also oversee or lead the evaluation and selection process for new data application packages. You will develop and document IT data models (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical) to facilitate efficient and effective use of data, implement and maintain solutions for modeling, ETL/API, data mining, and metadata management. Additionally, you will develop a decision matrix on when to use various data platforms (data warehouse, data mart, big data, or data virtualization) and lead efforts to identify data requirements, develop data specifications, enforce data governance, apply data modeling patterns, and develop data conversion and migration designs. Your role will also involve assisting with developing and executing best practices for naming, governing, managing, modeling, cleansing, transforming, moving, storing, and searching all data. You will ensure that changes to the data environment comply with architectural standards and actively participate in design and data model reviews, providing constructive feedback to Application Developers. Managing multiple priorities of projects and requests, proposing appropriate changes to the enterprise data architecture, and adhering to data quality standards will be essential aspects of your position. You will define development guidelines and standards for data management on structured and unstructured data sets, demonstrate project management skills, and may serve as a lead on IT projects. Furthermore, you will manage and provide Tier III support for reporting, data structures, and related data applications, providing technical guidance, business process expertise, and technical leadership to team members. Establishing liaison relationships with business partners and/or suppliers to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and influence strategic initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities.
