About the position

The Senior Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer will join the Product Development Digital Strategy & Enablement team, focusing on delivering innovative technology solutions that enhance medical practices and improve patient outcomes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality data solutions, particularly in the area of Large Language Models (LLMs). The position emphasizes teamwork, knowledge sharing, and the application of modern NLP technologies to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Data Scientists, ML engineers, and cross-functional teams to create solutions using modern NLP technologies, particularly LLMs.
• Build data pipelines and deployment pipelines for ML models.
• Develop ML models according to business and functional requirements.
• Deploy various models and tune them for better performance.
• Document and communicate design and implementation details.
• Contribute to technical decisions within the DSE AI team.
• Collaborate with clients and informatics departments to deploy scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for enterprise-wide technology solutions and lead troubleshooting efforts.

Requirements

• Experience with LLM applications development, including tools for reasoning and RAG solutions.
• Experience in building data pipelines and deployment pipelines for LLM applications.
• Recent experience with ML/AI toolkits such as AWS Sagemaker, with knowledge of other toolkits like Pytorch, Tensorflow, Keras, etc.
• Experience with MLOps technologies such as Sagemaker, Vertex AI, and Kubeflow.
• Experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and Docker.
• Proven scripting and automation skills.
• Good knowledge of git, bash, Linux, CI/CD tools, RDB, and visualization tools like Tableau.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
• Experience with test-driven development and good coding practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and customer focus.
