About the position

The Data Scientist role focuses on performing data and error analysis to enhance models and ensure data accuracy within the healthcare domain. The position involves developing and deploying advanced machine learning models and AI solutions, leveraging expertise in data science to derive insights from large datasets and create predictive models that inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Extract meaningful insights from complex datasets and interpret data for strategic decision-making.
  • Design, develop, and train machine learning models using various algorithms and techniques.
  • Develop and implement agentic workflows utilizing AI agents for autonomous task execution.
  • Employ retrieval-augmented generation patterns to enhance language model performance.
  • Fine-tune pre-trained models for specific tasks or datasets to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare data for analysis through cleaning, handling missing values, and removing outliers.
  • Deploy AI models into production, monitor their performance, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI and machine learning to improve models and methodologies.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of models and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to newer data scientists.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to build ML models that improve business objectives.
  • Present complex analytical information clearly to various audiences.
  • Manage delivery of analytical projects within the analytics team.
  • Identify data solutions and technology opportunities as business requirements change.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years' work experience as a data scientist, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC concepts.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R, with experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
  • Excellent understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience in designing and implementing agentic workflows with AI agents.
  • Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation techniques.
  • Proven experience in fine-tuning models for specific tasks.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • PhD or additional experience in a related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure AI Studio.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques.
