About the position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist specializing in Operations Research to join their remote team. This role focuses on enhancing fleet management practices, developing simulation experiments, and optimizing supply chain processes to drive significant business impact in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Create and enhance fleet management practices across the company through analytical techniques.
• Develop simulation experiments that lead to implemented optimization algorithms to solve complex supply chain problems.
• Assist in identifying key KPIs and metrics to measure the company's supply chain effectiveness.
• Identify high-value opportunities for Operations Research within a greenfield space and work cross-functionally to plan, build, and measure business impact.

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent practical experience in statistics, computer science, applied math, operations research, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience working on technology-powered products and projects within Operations Research, supply chain optimization, or data science roles.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern algorithm development techniques and methods.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Must be qualified to work in the United States.
