About the position

The Sr Data Steward/Data Governance role at Bright Vision Technologies is a long-term contract position focused on ensuring effective data governance and management within a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company. The position requires a strong understanding of data governance concepts, data quality, and stewardship, as well as the ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams to implement enterprise-wide data governance policies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical subject matter experts to standardize operational information.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures.
• Research, validate, profile, and catalog datasets.
• Own sub-tasks of projects with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management within a global CPG company or similar industry.
• Strong data management background with knowledge of data ingestion, proper data use, and data quality.
• Experience with Informatica tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ, Reference 360).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including data profiling.
• Basic SQL knowledge and experience with BI visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Advanced data analytical skills for identifying and documenting data patterns and quality rules.
• Strong communication skills.
