About the position

The Sr. Database Architect will manage the company's database architecture and enhance the delivery of database infrastructure services across private and public cloud environments. This role involves collaborating with various architectural organizations globally to set standards, improve existing implementations, and drive the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) transformation journey. The position requires a strategic approach to database services, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance optimization while working closely with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build a well-informed database services strategy and manage the adaptation process to deliver cloud-based services.
• Design database services offerings ensuring data integrity and security across different platforms.
• Research and recommend new database technologies, platforms, and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and implement the overall structure and design of database systems to meet current and future business needs.
• Forecast future data storage needs and optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexes, and configurations.
• Design and implement strategies to ensure database systems remain available during failures or disasters.
• Establish processes to ensure adherence to architectural standards, controls, policies, and procedures.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, design, and configurations.
• Evaluate, plan, and guide on data migration projects, ensuring data integration between various applications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years' experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise database solutions.
• 3+ years' experience working on various Automation platforms like Terraform/Ansible/ARM Templates delivering Infrastructure as Code.
• 5+ years' experience delivering active Cloud technologies and services hosted in Azure and AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business, or related field, preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep expertise with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Mastery of both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, including cloud-native and managed options.
• Familiarity with specialized databases optimized for AI/ML (e.g., graph databases, vector databases).
• Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Practical knowledge of APM, monitoring, and logging at scale.
