The Database Administrator will take ownership of the database design process within a software development environment, ensuring that the design aligns with the software development needs of the organization. This role is critical in analyzing and planning for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements, ensuring that databases are capable of handling future growth effectively. The successful candidate will develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures to maintain data integrity and compliance across the organization. The Database Administrator will collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to explore and define report metrics, ensuring that data reporting is both accurate and meaningful. Furthermore, the position supports teams in developing and implementing data access and data warehousing programs, facilitating efficient data storage and retrieval processes. The role also requires evaluating and providing recommendations on new database technologies and architectures to ensure that the best solutions are utilized. The Database Administrator will ensure the rigorous application of information security and assurance policies in the delivery of data management services. Additionally, the position involves maintaining, monitoring, and performance tuning databases to ensure high performance and reliability. Effective cross-functional communication is essential, as the Database Administrator will serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences in various discussions.
