About the position
The position requires strong, hands-on migration experts who can lead and execute end-to-end database migrations, working closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption. Key focuses include automation, efficiency, and performance optimization to meet aggressive timelines. The role involves proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL programming, as well as designing and implementing OLTP peer-to-peer replication strategies for seamless data synchronization. Additionally, the candidate will architect and optimize data warehouse solutions to align with business intelligence needs and automate large-scale database migrations to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end Oracle-to-Azure SQL / MS SQL migrations.
- Design and implement OLTP peer-to-peer replication strategies.
- Architect and optimize data warehouse solutions.
- Automate large-scale database migrations.
- Develop and implement automation frameworks for schema conversion and data migration.
- Leverage Oracle GoldenGate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and automation scripts.
- Perform in-depth Oracle database assessments.
- Convert Oracle PL/SQL to T-SQL, optimizing for performance.
- Use Microsoft DMA, SSMA, Azure DMS, or other solutions to streamline migrations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in TSQL, PL/SQL, SSMA, DMS, GoldenGate, MSSQL.
- Strong experience in database migration processes.
- Hands-on experience with automation and performance optimization.
