About the position

The Sr. Database Developer will play a vital role in managing and organizing data for the company, which is heavily reliant on data-driven decisions. This position involves developing, testing, improving, and maintaining both new and existing databases to ensure effective data retrieval for users. The developer will work with various technologies and collaborate with other teams to meet the company's operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database structures to meet company needs.
• Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources.
• Build scripts to enhance data evaluation processes across datasets.
• Implement security measures to safeguard the company's database.
• Use Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL for developing complex stored procedures, triggers, tables, user functions, views, indexes, and security.
• Develop and manage Power BI (DAX/Power Pivot) solutions for data analysis and reporting.
• Employ cloud technologies to boost efficiency and performance.
• Utilize Informatica and MapR for data management and computation distribution.
• Use business intelligence tools and data visualization techniques to present data clearly.
• Collaborate with other teams to understand their needs and provide support.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the database field.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Cloud Technologies.
• Experience with Database Objects.
• Working knowledge of Informatica.
• Familiarity with MapR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.
• Experience in AB Testing is desirable.
• Expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) is required.
• Ability to create Business Requirement Documents.
• Must be able to create Dashboards.
• Experience working with various Data Sources.
