About the position

The Sr Datawarehouse Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT processes to integrate data into the data lake and data warehouse. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, creating data models, and developing data visualizations in Power BI. The developer will also assist in implementing scalable data lake architecture, ensuring data quality and governance, troubleshooting data-related issues, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to integrate data into the data lake and data warehouse.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create data models that support business needs.
• Develop and optimize data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Assist in the design and implementation of a scalable data lake architecture to support both structured and unstructured data.
• Ensure data quality and governance practices are in place to maintain data integrity and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of data solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence.
• Mentor and support junior developers in data development practices and Power BI usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Developer, with a focus on data lake projects.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including dashboard development and data modeling.
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and technologies (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
