About the position

As a Senior Delivery Solutions Architect (Sr DSA) at Databricks, you will play a crucial role in empowering customers to solve complex data problems using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. This hybrid role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, focusing on driving growth and ensuring customer success by guiding stakeholders and orchestrating specialized teams. You will be the post-sale technical lead, responsible for maximizing the value customers derive from their Databricks workloads and ensuring effective onboarding and usage of the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate the adoption of the Databricks platform.
  • Lead the post-technical win technical account strategy and execution plan for strategic accounts.
  • Serve as the accountable technical leader for specific use cases and customers across multiple teams.
  • Act as the first contact for technical issues or questions related to production status of use cases.
  • Leverage Shared Services, User Education, and Support resources to build appropriate tasks for customer needs.
  • Create and execute a point-of-view on accelerating key use cases into production.
  • Navigate Databricks Product and Engineering teams for new product innovations and upgrade needs.
  • Develop an execution plan covering all customer-facing technical roles and teams for various work streams.
  • Provide internal and external updates on usage and customer health, including KPI reporting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technical project/program delivery within Data and AI.
  • Programming experience in Python, SQL, or Scala.
  • Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role.
  • Understanding of solution architecture related to distributed data systems.
  • Ability to attribute business value and outcomes to specific project deliverables.
  • Experience in technical program or project management, including stakeholder and resource management.
  • Experience resolving complex escalations with senior customer executives.
  • Conducting discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, and managing complex projects.
  • Track record of overachievement against quota or similar targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with cloud cost control, tuning, and optimization.
