About the position

As a Senior Demand Planner at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket, you will play a crucial role in managing demand planning across a multi-location, multi-customer network. Utilizing company forecasting and SAP/APO systems, you will apply Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles to understand and communicate the various factors that can influence and affect the forecast to Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams. Your responsibilities will include planning, ordering, and controlling inventory, as well as designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting fulfillment systems for the supply planning group. You will also participate in all aspects of systems development, including project management, ensuring that the supply planning processes are efficient and effective. In this role, you will lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process, facilitating demand consensus building with sales and marketing teams and reaching agreements on supply and inventory plans with senior leadership. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, as you will identify and develop areas for enhancement related to the monthly forecasting process. You will perform trend analysis to report inconsistencies between forecasts and actual sales, create and maintain performance metrics, and assist in the monthly Consensus Forecasting Process. Additionally, you will participate in developing inventory and service level strategies to meet departmental Sales Forecast Accuracy (SFA) targets, and you will be involved in system enhancements and implementations to improve data integrity and planning processes. Responsibilities

  • Use SAP/APO systems to manage demand planning for a multi-location network.
  • Use Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles to comprehend all factors that can influence and affect the forecast, and communicate these factors to Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning process from demand consensus building with sales and marketing through to agreement on supply/inventory plan with senior leadership.
  • Continuously identify and develop areas for improvement related to monthly forecasting process.
  • Perform trend analysis to report inconsistencies with forecasts and actual sales.
  • Create and maintain performance metrics comparing forecasts to actual sales taking into consideration the lag analysis.
  • Maintain statistically generated forecasts and related parameters.
  • Assist in the monthly Consensus Forecasting Process.
  • Participate in the development of inventory and service level strategy to ensure departmental Sales Forecast Accuracy (SFA) targets are met.
  • Participate in development processes and system enhancements and implementations.
  • Develop necessary tools to help continually ensure data integrity of inventory, part number maintenance and planning throughout the supply planning system.
  • Keep abreast of changes to industry and look to improve processes.

Requirements

  • BS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other related field
  • 3 years business experience, including at least 1 year with supply chain and logistics functions such as demand planning, production planning, and distribution planning in an automotive or consumer products business with emphasis on forecasting and statistics
  • SAP/APO previous experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, strong process development skills
  • Strong Forecast Management systems skills (JDA, I2 Technologies, NewMetrics, SAP, Oracle, Logility, Connexus)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail and multi-task oriented
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
