As a Senior Demand Planner at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket, you will play a crucial role in managing demand planning across a multi-location, multi-customer network. Utilizing company forecasting and SAP/APO systems, you will apply Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles to understand and communicate the various factors that can influence and affect the forecast. This position requires you to plan, order, and control inventory effectively while designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting fulfillment systems for the supply planning group. You will be involved in all aspects of systems development, including project management, ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include leading the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process, which involves building consensus on demand with sales and marketing teams and reaching agreements on supply and inventory plans with senior leadership. You will continuously identify and develop areas for improvement related to the monthly forecasting process, performing trend analysis to report inconsistencies between forecasts and actual sales. Additionally, you will create and maintain performance metrics that compare forecasts to actual sales, taking into account lag analysis, and assist in the monthly Consensus Forecasting Process. In this role, you will also participate in the development of inventory and service level strategies to ensure that departmental Sales Forecast Accuracy (SFA) targets are met. You will be responsible for developing necessary tools to maintain data integrity of inventory, part number maintenance, and planning throughout the supply planning system. Staying updated on industry changes and seeking to improve processes will be key aspects of your position, allowing you to contribute to the overall success of Bosch Mobility Aftermarket.
