About the position

The Sr. Demand Planner/Scheduler plays a crucial role in managing the product lifecycle process by collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. This position is responsible for forecasting demand, planning inventory levels, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective scheduling and inventory management. The role also involves analyzing and enhancing Supply Chain systems to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Vendor Managed Inventory including online replenishment, SKU forecasting, promotional planning, and purchase order creation.
  • Assist in the product lifecycle process, including the introduction of new products, forecasting demand for current products, and managing discontinued products.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy of demand forecasts to enhance customer satisfaction, sales, and supply chain effectiveness.
  • Plan and control scheduling activities for assigned plants, balancing production and inventory levels with demand.
  • Analyze, develop, and test programs and user interfaces for Supply Chain systems, troubleshooting issues and gathering user requirements for enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of Supply Chain experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, or Operations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain related field.
  • APICS CPIM Certification.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder Solutions, Business Objects, QAD, MES, REACH, AOM, IVAN.
  • Procurement, Technical or Manufacturing experience within the coatings industry.
