About the position

The Sr. Demand Planner is responsible for creating seasonal forecasts at the style, color, and size level for specific product categories and multi-channels of distribution. This role involves utilizing historical data, statistical projections, and market trends to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts throughout the planning horizon. The position requires effective communication of forecast confidence, opportunities, and risks to Supply Planners and Buyers, ensuring alignment with strategic revenue goals and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Create seasonal and monthly demand forecasts at style-color-size level for specific product categories.
  • Support seasonal go-to-market line development by creating initial style level forecasts in collaboration with Sales and Merchandising.
  • Create monthly demand flow based on historical shipment flow and aligned to target.
  • Provide ongoing reconciliation of bottoms up style forecasts to tops down financial targets throughout the go-to-market process.
  • Lead the collaborative, consensus forecast process with Sales and Merchandising during formal Demand Plan Review meetings.
  • Determine and communicate forecast confidence, including risks and opportunities, to the Supply Planners.
  • Utilize Forecast Accuracy results and learnings to inform future style forecasts.
  • Maintain RLT and monitor ATP results during booking periods.
  • Participate in cross-functional task forces to improve systems and business processes.
  • Assist the Planning Manager in the onboarding and training of new employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, management, or other applicable discipline.
  • 5-8+ years' professional experience in enterprise and/or global planning, forecasting, supply chain, analytics, and/or related fields.
  • Deep knowledge of demand planning concepts and theories, particularly in the apparel/footwear industry.
  • Strong forecasting skills with Blue Yonder or other related statistical forecasting applications.
  • Strong understanding of order management processes with ERP systems.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and moderate experience with other Microsoft suite applications.
