About the position

Raytheon is seeking a successful candidate for an MRP Demand Controller role within the Advanced Product Center area in McKinney, TX. This position is critical in ensuring the alignment between material position and production schedule through effective Supply Controller activities. The successful candidate will operate in multiple shop floor control and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems, playing a key role in the supply chain process. The MRP Demand Controller will evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer demands. This includes providing status updates on work in progress, material availability, and potential production issues to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Daily responsibilities will include confirming material supply and demands, preparing work orders for the production of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. The role will also involve working closely with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build. The MRP Demand Controller will report on and troubleshoot MRP system-generated exceptions, taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary. Conducting periodic physical inventory cycle counts and reconciling the system will also be part of the job. Additionally, the role requires scheduling and expediting the movement of parts through move orders and stock transfers, as well as performing the movement of material to and from the factory, pack/ship, or other areas as needed. This position will require close collaboration with the factory, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure effective program execution, with a strong emphasis on metrics to maintain system health and drive performance that meets customer expectations. This is an onsite role, emphasizing the importance of physical presence in the execution of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Working daily to confirm material supply and demands.
  • Preparing work orders for the production of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build.
  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; and taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.
  • Conducting periodic physical inventory cycle counts and reconciling the system.
  • Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, etc.
  • Performing movement of material to and from the factory, pack/ship (or other area) as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires University Degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software.
  • Experience of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of SAP / PRISM experience
  • Experience with Tableau, Kinaxis, Business Warehouse
