About the position

The Sr. Demand Planner is responsible for improving the accuracy of demand forecasts for finished goods, enhancing customer satisfaction, sales, and overall supply chain effectiveness. This role collaborates with various departments to manage the product lifecycle, including the introduction of new products, forecasting demand, and managing inventory. The position also involves executing product life cycle management, leading continuous improvement projects, and troubleshooting supply chain system issues.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve the accuracy of demand forecasts for finished goods.
• Assist Sales, Marketing, Materials/Purchasing Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technical groups in managing the product lifecycle process.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Participate in research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecasts based on updated sales and marketing assumptions.
• Manage Vendor Managed Inventory, including online replenishment, SKU forecasting, promotional planning, and performance reporting.
• Execute product life cycle management and lead Lean, Continuous Improvement Projects and Sales and Operational Planning reviews.
• Analyze, develop, and test programs and user interfaces for Supply Chain systems, troubleshooting issues and gathering requirements for enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience required; preferred in a Supply Chain related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, or Operations required.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple complex projects concurrently required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Nice-to-haves

• APICS CPIM Certification preferred.
• Experience with Blue Yonder Solutions, Business Objects-DSF & SCIS, MES, QAD, REACH, AOM, IVAN preferred.
• Procurement, Technical or Manufacturing experience within the coatings industry preferred.
