About the position

As a member of the Planning team, the Sr. Demand Planner is responsible for building and managing demand plans across divisions, as well as assisting in the development and execution of purchasing plans for Liberated Brands with a focus on our Volcom Business. This role involves generating historical seasonal reports to the division, label, category, style, and SKU level, which are crucial for informed decision-making. The Sr. Demand Planner will build pre-season roadmap files using historical data to strategize style/SKU counts and profitability that align with financial targets. In addition, the position requires coordination with regional sales and finance teams to align product planning, margin targets, and revenue plans. The Sr. Demand Planner will consolidate forecasts by sales channel and review seasonal buying strategies, determining product flow and setting seasonal order buy dates in the Purchasing Calendar. They will also build seasonal Demand Analysis files to plan buys by channel and company, manage the current open-to-buy during the purchasing process, and create and maintain seasonal demand forecast models based on statistical forecasts. The role also includes managing seasonal merchandise buys to the SKU level to achieve revenue forecasts and support inventory objectives, coordinating, tracking, and adjusting the buy in response to demand, and managing inventory levels down to the SKU level, including never-out-of-stock programs. The Sr. Demand Planner will review style/SKU sales and inventory to determine under stock and over stock situations, prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management, and work closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandise, Sales, Sales Planning, and Production. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of related professional experience in merchandise, demand planning, forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities required.
  • Excellent Excel skills a must (SUM-IF's, VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, IF-formulas, etc.).
  • Full Circle experience a plus.
  • Power BI experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margins, etc. required.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions for this position.
