About the position

The Sr. Demand Planner at Molson Coors Beverage Company plays a crucial role in managing forecasts and demand analysis for specific territories and brands. This position is part of the newly established Integrated Business Planning (IBP) organization and is responsible for ensuring accurate demand forecasts that influence production and financial outcomes. The role requires collaboration with various functional teams to drive consensus and improve forecasting accuracy, ultimately contributing to the company's revenue and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develops & maintains key components of Sales to Retail (STR) volume plans for a subset of the Molson Coors portfolio.
  • Communicates risk & opportunity in the forecast to drive consensus.
  • Generates and ensures accountability for accuracy of multiple forecast levels influencing sales volume targets and P&L's.
  • Leads collaborative planning processes with cross-functional partners.
  • Informs supply planning of long-term and short-term forecasts.
  • Continuously improves processes and tools related to demand planning.
  • Leverages knowledge of volume drivers and demand planning concepts to enhance accuracy.
  • Evaluates top-down forecasts for reasonability.
  • Analyzes performance drivers to inform risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Delivers against standard and ad hoc customer requirements.
  • Ensures integrity and quality of outputs from the team.
  • Manages forecast exceptions and drives decisions for optimal volume and profit returns.
  • Adjusts forecasts using SAS / O9 Forecasting Applications.
  • Achieves best-in-class performance levels for forecasting accuracy.
  • Influences stakeholders through data storytelling and clear communication.
  • Develops relationships as an extension of sales/brand teams.
  • Creates presentations for leadership outlining forecast drivers and expected volumes.
  • Communicates monthly forecast performance and changes for a 0-24 month horizon.
  • Provides tactical recommendations into integrated Executive and midterm S&OP processes.
  • Supports the design and implementation of improvement processes related to demand planning.
  • Identifies customer requirements and develops solutions to enhance stakeholder value.
  • Shares best practices across the team to improve overall competencies.
  • Provides coverage for other team members as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, supply chain, sales, marketing, production planning, or consumer goods industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Forecasting, demand planning, or related certification is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced demand planning and statistical forecasting software.
  • Syndicated data experience (Nielsen/IRI) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of forecasting concepts, brand strategy, and industry trends.
  • Ability to evaluate business performance and communicate findings effectively.
  • Financial acumen regarding volume mix shifts and impacts to P&L.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
