About The Position
The Sr. Denodo Data Lead / Architect at NAVA Software Solutions is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the execution of the company's data delivery strategy utilizing Denodo. This position involves active participation in all phases of analytic projects, including requirements gathering, data architecture, integration guidance, and the development of support artifacts. The Sr. Architect is expected to demonstrate senior-level leadership skills, guiding the team in building a self-sustainable Business Intelligence (BI) platform. This includes creating best practices, defining and governing data architecture standards, leading and supporting development efforts, managing BI demand, coordinating resource capacity, and prioritizing and leading the scoping effort. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to mentor others in maintainable development practices and conduct code reviews, ensuring correct capitalization and expense activities of the project team while providing business insights across multiple domains. In this role, the Sr. Architect will manage complex, high-quantity, and potentially contradictory information to effectively solve problems. They will apply their knowledge of the business to advance organizational goals and navigate complex policy, people, and process-related organizational dynamics intuitively. The position requires engagement with users and stakeholders to prioritize and develop data-centric work products and support requests, as well as collaboration with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver data-related solutions for various projects. The Sr. Architect will also be responsible for refining the current Denodo deployment, ensuring data security, and designing integrations with front-end tools like Tableau and back-end applications such as SAP. Additionally, the Sr. Architect will establish processes for architecture review, code review, and development for Denodo engineers, continuously refining these processes by measuring related KPIs. They will maintain and extend agile data development methodologies, create reusable semantic and report-specific data layers, and develop techniques for optimizing solutions. The role also includes troubleshooting issues within the data platform, ensuring SLAs are met for business-critical data, and implementing operations to keep the platform stable and up-to-date. The Sr. Architect will work under minimal supervision and is expected to responsibly handle consumer and customer data in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, while also reviewing and following data privacy practices and guidelines.
