About the position

The Senior Dental Assistant at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center serves as the team leader for Dental Assistants, supporting the Clinical Chief and Dental Clinic Manager with operational activities. This role encompasses patient care duties, overseeing clinic operations, managing patient schedules, inventory management, and ensuring the maintenance of clinic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the team leader for Dental Assistants.
• Support the Clinical Chief and Dental Clinic Manager with operational activities.
• Ensure proper flow of the patient schedule.
• Oversee inventory management and appropriate ordering of supplies.
• Maintain clinic equipment.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited program in dental assisting and three (3) years of full-time experience as a dental assistant; or
• Thirty (30) credits leading to a degree from an accredited dental hygienist program and three (3) years of full-time experience as a dental assistant; or
• High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience as a Dental Assistant.

Nice-to-haves

• Dental assistant certification.
• 1 year of dental assistant and/or hospital dentistry experience.
• Experience with Eagle soft.
• Experience with treating cancer patients.
