About the position

The Sr. DevOps/Cloud Engineer role is focused on implementing, managing, and monitoring cloud environments, specifically utilizing AWS technologies. This position requires a strong foundation in DevOps principles and CI/CD methodologies, with a significant emphasis on Linux OS and scripting. The selected candidate will work in a hybrid model, spending at least two days a week on-site in Baltimore, MD, and will need to obtain a Public Trust clearance before starting.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage cloud environments utilizing AWS technologies.
• Monitor and maintain CI/CD systems and methodologies on AWS.
• Automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
• Collaborate with team members to provide technical direction and hands-on software deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with implementing, managing, and monitoring environments utilizing Cloud technologies such as AWS.
• 5+ years of experience implementing and managing CI/CD systems and methodologies on AWS.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Linux OS, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8+.
• Experience with AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, ALB, VPC) and AWS CloudFormation.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with SSA or Federal government projects.
• Understanding of PaaS and IaaS categories of Cloud computing.
• Experience with source code versioning and Pull Requests with Git and Stash/BitBucket.
