Sr. DevOps Engineer - Remote (24-103)

About the position

Spok is seeking a skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer to support the deployment and automation of applications within a Microsoft-based environment. This role involves managing the transition of code through various environments and requires expertise in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and automate application deployment across multiple environments (QA, Performance, Integration, Regression, and Demo).
• Use Terraform and Salt to create, maintain, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD workflows, preferably using GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker or similar tools.
• Set up and maintain monitoring solutions for deployments to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth deployments and resolve pre-production issues.
• Document deployment processes and contribute to best practices for deployment, automation, and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a Microsoft-based environment.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Salt for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions pipelines or other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for task automation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Healthcare industry.
• Familiarity with Telecommunications and Call Center technologies.
