About the position
The Sr. DevOps Engineer at Arcoro will manage Azure infrastructure to support the rapid growth of the company. This role involves collaborating with development teams to enhance product stability and facilitate rapid deployments. The engineer will focus on building, testing, and releasing quality software through automation and performance monitoring, utilizing Azure's Platform as a Service technologies.
Responsibilities
- Manage Azure infrastructure to ensure uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) for internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop, deploy, support, and maintain global application production environments.
- Improve performance, lower costs, and deploy products to support a growing customer base.
- Design and maintain production monitoring systems.
- Streamline standard operating procedures through automation to lower costs and improve performance.
- Analyze architectural and feature specifications and translate them into infrastructure needs.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of .Net and C#
- Working knowledge of SQL Server Administration including TSQL
- Experience with serverless functions and their design
- Familiarity with software development life cycle methodology, preferably Kanban
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices
- Experience with Bicep templating
- Experience with Puppet, Chef, or DSC (Desired State Configuration)
- Experience with automation/configuration management using PowerShell
- Experience with Git
- Experience with Linux
- Ability to provide solutions for technical problems including potential architectural changes
- Ability to coach DevOps team members.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- 6+ years of DevOps engineering experience
- Experience working in an Azure environment, PaaS preferred
- Exposure to Bash
- Experience with Azure Classic and YAML pipelines
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Microsoft Azure Certification.
